Elodie, new Winemaker in Chateau Bellevue
Château Bellevue is very pleased to welcome ELODIE ROUSSELOT as Cellar Master and ambassador of the winery. Elodie joined the Château team this summer 2022, just before the harvest. Vintage 2022 offered her ideal conditions to begin : healthy and perfectly ripe grapes.
Elodie is from Haute-Marne (France) and has always been passionate about agriculture. One thing led to another, viticulture piqued her interest, and her interest progressively turned toward working wine in the cellar. After her degree in viticulture and oenology in Beaune, Elodie went to Dijon to study Vine Sciences and finally to Beaune to receive her National Œnology Diploma. Her studies also gave her the opportunity to take part in many internships in Burgundy, Bordeaux and Alsace. In 2018, Elodie decides to travel to put her knowledge into practice. She settles in Napa Valley, California, for her first winemaking-experience abroad. In February 2019, she heads to Chile for the harvest season and returns to California for a second adventure in winemaking that same year. One last expedition in January 2020, for 2 years, in Barossa Valley, Australia. Determined to return to France, Elodie is now based in Morgon, in the heart of the Beaujolais crus. The approach of promoting the lieux-dits and traditional vinifications immediately appealed to her.
