Indeed, REVUE DU VIN DE FRANCE has just published a major report, headed by Pierre Vila Palleja, on the best expressions of Gamay in France. When it was published, our Côte du Py – Javernières received an excellent score of 93/100.
“If we recognise the greatness of a grape variety by its ability to adapt or mutate, Gamay is indeed a force of nature. It is more robust than Pinot Noir in the face of global warming, while retaining a very appreciable finesse…”.
