The harvest at the Château began on August 24 and ends around September 11 with the plots located on the climat “Les Charmes”, the highest in the Domaine.
The 2020 vintage will undoubtedly have been marked by the great drought of this summer and the winds only reinforced the phenomenon. The vines suffered in order to maintain a sufficient water reserve, but this weather also made it possible to ward off any disease pressure on the vines. However, the harvest took place under ideal conditions with abundant rain at the start of the campaign and cool nights. The Gamay Noirs have healthy bunches, without any rot, sorting is almost useless.
On the cellar side, the vinifications are going very well, the juices quickly take on a beautiful color. the aromas are slowly emerging …
